Job description
- Act as the person in charge of front desk when AGM is absent;
- Manage jointly with the director and front desk staff;
- Establish and coordinate with Director, the implementation of new procedures and ensure that they are respected by departmentals employees;
- Work jointly with other departments of the establishment;
- Be present at the front desk;
- Follow up on employees;
- Meet with guests;
- Train new front desk staff;
- Act as a coach with the front desk team;
- Convey messages from management to employees;
- Help new projects;
- Ensure that customer service complies at all times with Marriott's norms and standards.
- Make periodic inspection rounds;
- Be able to make decisions reflecting the values and standards of the hotel;
- Any other duties deemed essential within the position
Requirements
- At least 2 of experience as a front desk supervisor and 1-year experience as a night auditor of a hotel of the same category;
- Good knowledge of Fosse PMS and GXP;
- Team management skills;
- Passion for customer service;
- Positive and proactive attitude;
- Flexibility and availability to work with varied schedules. Evening shift and day and night shifts as needed;
- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
- Bilingualism essential to spoken and written, trilingual (an asset);
- Diploma in hotel management (an asset)
