Job description

We are seeking a passionate Front Desk Supervisor with a natural sense of hospitality and a passion for guest satisfaction. Driven by the desire to provide an exceptional experience, you will anticipate guests' needs and demonstrate creativity in handling unexpected situations. Warm and professional, you will facilitate smooth communication with all departments, contributing to the overall success of the team. You will also be responsible for training and supervising the front desk staff, ensuring high standards of quality and courtesy are maintained.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

·        Support the Front Desk Director in managing the department and ensure smooth operations in their absence.

·        Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests upon their arrival and departure, ensuring a positive first impression.

·        Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their stay by promptly addressing their needs and resolving issues efficiently and courteously.

·        Offer personalized advice and guidance on local attractions, restaurants, and events to enhance the Montreal experience for guests.

·        Communicate and implement new front desk procedures and policies.

·        Manage administrative tasks related to arrivals and departures, including reservations, payments, and required documentation.

·        Answer phone calls professionally, screen, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments.

·        Collaborate closely with various hotel departments to ensure a seamless and memorable guest experience.

·        Ensure that public areas of the hotel are always clean and welcoming, coordinating with the relevant department if necessary.

·        Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements to optimize guest service and hotel operations.

·        Maintain confidentiality of guest information and act with the highest level of discretion in all situations.

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

·        You have a background in hospitality or significant experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position.

·        You have an excellent knowledge of the local area and tourist attractions.

·        You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with a hotel management software, such as Opera (or equivalent).

·        You have the energy, stamina, and availability for this demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·        You are bilingual in French and English for effective communication with an international clientele.

·        You consistently maintain exemplary service standards.

·        You are passionate, friendly, and professional, with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm.
