Requirements Assist staff with payment issues (eg credit card issues). Follow up on customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Process all guest entries through confirmation of reservations, room assignment, distribution and activation of room keys. Process all types of payments including room bills, cash, checks and credit cards. Set up accurate accounts when guests arrive (eg shared room, incidentals / charges / separate room, gift). Anticipate cases where the hotel is full and find satisfactory alternative accommodation when the hotel cannot accommodate the clients who have booked. Block rooms using computer tools and identify certain needs and requirements. Contact the appropriate employee or appropriate department to respond to customer calls and inquiries or resolve customer issues. Collaborate with housekeeping to follow the preparation of rooms before the arrival of customers. Read shift logs / daily logs and add all relevant information to the service log. Ensure the cash count at the start and end of the shift. Balance and deposit the recipes according to the specifications of the Accounting. Help management to train, motivate and support employees; serve as a model and point of reference for Marriott procedures. Report accidents, injuries and all working conditions considered dangerous to the manager; take training and obtain the required safety certifications. Follow and apply all policies and procedures of the chain; make sure to wear a clean and complete work uniform; have a neat and professional appearance at all times in the workplace; respect the confidentiality of information specific to the hotel. Anticipate and respond to customer maintenance needs. Use clear and courteous language in all communication; prepare and correct written documents with precision and completeness; answer the phone using appropriate language. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with your peers. Ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards. Be accustomed to working while standing, sitting and moving over a long period of time. Automatically move, lift, carry, pull and place loads weighing up to 4.5 kilos.
