Front Desk agent Occasional
§ Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner recognizing IHG Rewards Club Members and also returning guests.
§ Oversees and participates in prompt and courteous handling of all guests as necessary, including check-ins, check-outs, telephone and personal inquiries.
§ Runs the night audit sequence and prepares night audit reports, management reports and daily revenue reports.
§ Balances room revenues and verifies the balance of all cash floats, credit and debit charges.
§ Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
§ Take action to solve guest problems/complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.Requirements
Skills, habilities and qualifications:
§ High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent. College/university preferred.
§ One year front desk/guest service experience strongly preferred.
§ Proficiency in Opera is preferred but not essential.
§ Must be bilingual. Additional language skills preferred
§ Strong communication skills essential when interacting with guests and employees
§ Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/information updates, etc.
§ Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
§ Problem solving, reasoning, motivating and training abilities are often used
§ Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays.
