Job description

Front Desk Agent: We are looking for someone that will attend our guests during their stay and make their experience memorable. We have part-time and full time positions to fill. This person will mostly work evenings and occasionally mornings. We also need someone that will learn the night audit to replace our full-time auditor on days off, holidays and vacations. 


Front Desk Associate

-        Execute check-in and checkout procedures, reservations, modifications and cancellations in a courteous and professional manner;

-        Have daily knowledge of groups or functions in-house and local current events;

-        Post, correct or adjust charges to guest account as necessary;

-        Maintain accuracy in cash handling procedures;

-        Support co-workers to ensure the team’s entire workload is completed daily;

-        Communicate with other departments (housekeeping, sales, restaurant, etc.);

-        Communicate pertinent shift information to manager and team members both verbally and in writing via logbook;

-        Ability to communicate professionally with guests over the phone and via email;

-        Understand and carry out specific duties for fire alarms and medical emergencies;

-        Ability to work independently with minimum supervision;

-        Be readily available/approachable for all guests;

-        Take proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns;

-        Extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times;

-        Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, in English and French;

-        Display a positive approach as well as capability to empathetically listen to guests needs and requests;

-        Flexibility regarding schedules: weekends, mornings, evenings, holidays and nights (occasionally and in replacement of the Night Auditor; additional training is provided for this purpose);

-        Able to work standing most of the time;

-        Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 15 pounds without assistance;

-        This position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions determined by General Manager.
