DEV Hotel and Conference Centre is looking for an outstanding individual to join us in the position of F&B Supervisor

The DEV facility is home to the largest hotel and conference center in Eastern Ontario. The site is located on 75 acres of indoor and outdoor space in Cornwall, Ontario and is ideal for gatherings and conferences of any size. The hotel offers over 500 guest rooms, as well as 70,000 square feet of dynamic and flexible meeting space.  For decades, the facility has continued to evolve and is the site of choice for corporate conferences, sporting events, government training programs, and more.

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and be a member of the hotel's executive team and actively participate in the overall direction and future plans of the property.  With a focus on both our guests and our employees, which is at the heart of everything we do, this position is key to our ever evolving and exciting future.

Summary:

To supervise the food and beverage evening operations which includes the Jet Set Pub and/or other Outlets. Is responsible for Manager on Duty coverage as required.

Reporting to the F&B Manager, the position overall is responsible for:

  • Effectively manage, direct and coordinate Pub and/or other Outlet operations.
  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction/experience, driving revenues.
  • Direct involvement in the coordination of any events scheduled in the outlets.
  • Responsible for check settlement in micros upon completion of events to promote efficient billing.
  • Full-fill the role of “MOD” – Manager on Duty.
  • Be present on the floor to observe staff and ensure customers are satisfied with service.
  • Review and maintain the standard operating procedures for all frontline staff.
  • Schedule to promote highest productivity and customer service.
  • Complete regular training and evaluation of staff to ensure professionalism and great guest experience.
  • Quality control of products and presentations.
  • Quarterly inventory of china, glass, flatware, linen, chairs, tables and display items.
  • Attend BEO meetings to obtain function/event information to educate and prepare staff.
  • Conduct regular departmental meetings to improve service / seek employee feedback.
  • Be aware and ensure compliance with all current Health & Safety and licensing policies and legislation.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintains key control of operations and responsible for activities to ensure opening, closing and daily procedures are completed.
Requirements

With the support and direction of our management company, on behalf of our owners, we are seeking a generalist, with leadership experience in a multi department organization.
