 Trout Point Lodge is Atlantic Canada’s premier Luxury Wilderness Resort and Canada’s only member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World Collection. Our website is www.troutpoint.com. We have an exciting opening for an Executive Sous-Chef for our upcoming season that runs from mid-May to end-October, and are looking for qualified candidates with fine dining experience, a team-oriented outlook, and a passion for exceeding guest expectations.

As the Executive Sous-Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction in all aspects of our culinary program. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be a key member of the culinary team.

Job Responsibilities

-          Ensure the highest quality and standards of all aspects of the culinary program

-          Ensure adherance to budgets and costs while maximizing quality

-          Support the Executive Chef as a key member of the team

-          Create menus and provide input on new programs and culinary options

-          Identify areas of improvements or savings in daily operations

-          Develop a culture of high-performance within the team

 

 

Requirements & Experience

-          3-5 years progressive kitchen experience in a fine dining establishment

-          Superb technical skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team

-          Attention to detail and excellent time management skills

-          Ability to manage and work within a budget

-          Enthusiasm, creativity, energy and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure a top-notch guest experience
