Located in the beautiful Eastern Townships, our soon to be centennial organization is looking for a creative Executive Chef who is proficient in all aspects of food preparation. You will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of the kitchen and be the focal point for all customer interaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop all menus (breakfast, lunch, dinner and banquet services)
  • Plan and direct food preparation and all culinary activities including special banquets and weddings
  • Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards, customer requirements and take into consideration our competitive advantage
  • Development of Theme Evenings to increase attendance for dinner service on Friday and Saturday nights
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs and manage supplier interaction and ordering
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities and training
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs (if necessary), within budgetary guidelines
  • Recruit and manage all kitchen staff by setting a high bar of commettent
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints from customers
  • Give prepared plates the “final touch”
  • Interact with members to enhance the dining experience
  • Perform administrative duties as required by the General Manager
  • Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Keep accurate time and payroll records
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members



  • Fully Bilingual (English and French)
  • Proven working experience as a head chef or sous chef with a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Excellent record of kitchen management and leadership
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficient
  • Ability to simplement improvements
  • Capable of delegating multiple tanks
  • Communication and leadership skills internally and externally
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practice
  • Creative introduction of new menu items to enhance dining experience
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
