Les Meubles Saint-Damase is one of the most recognized & qualified leaders in the manufacture of custom luxury hotel furniture to be renamed international. The company wants to create a high-end boutique hotel concept in a «laboratory» style by acquiring the Cap Diamant hotel and Maison du Fort, both located a few steps away in Old Quebec. The 2 accommodations will total about 17 rooms and Cap Diamant will be the first to be in operation.

We are looking for a director (e) of accommodation responsible for 2 hotels.

What a typical day would look like:

  • Establish, enforce and enforce the policies and procedures of reception and more generally of the company;
  • Establish occupancy forecasts;
  • Determine pricing and hosting promotion strategies, in collaboration with Sales and Marketing Manager, General Management and other relevant Service Managers;
  • Manage the human resources of his department (hiring staff, training, work breakdown, scheduling, supervision, performance evaluation, conflict management, etc.);
  • Ensures a healthy profitability of hosting departments by developing forecast budgets and managing costs; also analyzes monthly financial results to improve the performance of its services;
  • Develop an effective work organization to increase the quality of customer service, profitability of service and workforce skills;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction during and after service delivery, manage complaints and address complaints as appropriate;
  • Perform receiving tasks as required

Your skills:

  • Bilingual French / English essential;
  • Good financial management and budgeting skills
  •  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneousy;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field is an asset.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
