Status: Full time, Temporary 10 month contract

Salary: Starting at 65 000$ per year plus bonus

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Group Services Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities related to groups within the establishment. You will be the primary point of contact for group clients and will work closely with internal teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inquiries and group reservations with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop customized offers that meet the specific needs of group clients.
  • Coordinate logistical and operational event planning for groups, ensuring all details are accounted for.
  • Ensure smooth communication between group clients and relevant internal teams (sales, marketing, logistics, etc.).
  • Oversee the execution of events and activities to ensure compliance with quality and service standards.
  • Provide support and guidance to clients throughout the process, from reservation to event realization.
  • Manage the budget allocated for events and group services, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for process and service improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to assess satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise and lead the team dedicated to group services, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in event management or group services is a plus.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to quickly solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices in the field of group services.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and project management.
  • College diploma in a related field (event management, hospitality, tourism, etc.), or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, with coordination and management responsibilities.
