We are seeking an experienced Chef.fe de Partie to join our dynamic and passionate team. As Chef.fe de Partie, you will be responsible for directly supervising your team and efficiently managing your section. Your primary role will involve ensuring the preparation and quality of dishes at every stage, rigorously following recipes and applying appropriate culinary techniques. You will organize your workstation effectively and maintain high-quality standards. Your ability to collaborate closely with the kitchen team will ensure an exceptional and consistent culinary experience for our guests.
WHAT’LL YOU DO
- Ensure the preparation of meats, fish, and other ingredients including advanced cutting and preparation techniques, while supervising commis chefs to ensure quality and precision.
- Ensure rapid and efficient availability of ingredients for smooth dish execution, overseeing stock management and anticipating future needs.
- Organize your work section before services to ensure all utensils, equipment, and ingredients are accessible and ready for use.
- Maintain an orderly and efficient workflow during service periods.
- Play a key role in coordinating kitchen tasks, supervising and directing commis chefs to maximize efficiency.
- Rigorously follow recipes and apply appropriate culinary techniques.
- Ensure perfect cooking and precise seasoning to maintain consistent quality and meet guest expectations.
- Uphold aesthetic and plating standards of the establishment, overseeing dish presentation before service.
- Actively participate in maintaining cleanliness of workspaces, including food preparation and storage areas, strictly adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Take pride and responsibility for each dish prepared, significantly contributing to enhancing the overall quality of dishes served.

Requirements
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Vocational diploma (DEP) in culinary arts or 3-4 years of experience in kitchens, primarily in hotel establishments.
- MAPAQ Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate
- Strong ability to work in a team and ensure smooth communication, with proficiency in French and English for communication with international suppliers.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, fostering team development and motivation.
- Excellent stress management, ability to work calmly and maintain high performance in busy periods.
- Developed organizational skills for efficient work and meeting deadlines.
- Energy, endurance, and availability for a demanding role, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintaining exemplary service standards while managing high guest volumes.
