Description

Marc-André: le traiteur specialize in high-end events for a varied clientele. We are looking for a chef de cuisine to join the team. We love a refined and modern cuisine, a young and vibrant organization, real quebec ingredients! With us, no egg sandwich or lunch box. Our approach to cooking is similar to the one at Hoogan and Beaufort: precise and modern cuisine made with quality ingredients by an experienced team. Marc-André: the caterer and Hoogan and Beaufort have the same owners.

Under the supervision of the executive chef and Marc-André Jetté, the chef de cuisine run mise en place and events. He participates in the creation of menus, purchases and the organization of the kitchen. He is responsible for his cooks and is able to unite his team around a common goal: quality. The chef de cuisine assumes the management tasks assigned to him and works with the kitchen coordinator to run the kitchen.

We work with menus that constantly change according to customers and seasons. From test to test, the chef must be able to modify his procedure and recipe to obtain the homerun that we want to have at each event. A whole deer cooked over a wood fire, lacto-fermentation tests for an upcoming wedding, a veal fillet cooked over a wood fire for 750 people, a cocktail party with an performance in station, a BBQ with 225 stripped bass cooked on charcoal, banquet for 2 to 1000 people: these are the challenges in our business.

We are looking for a candidate dedicated to the success of our events and the business. A competent, dynamic, reliable and efficient chef to join the team. We are mainly looking for people who are capable of having fun at work while delivering a complex event. Requirements

· 1-2 years of experience

· DEP cook

·  a sharp sense of humor

· Valid driver's license
