Description

Working under the direction of the Director of Sales, the key responsibilities of the Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:

Job Description:

  • Ability to identify, solicit and acquire new accounts that are a right fit for the hotel

  • Maintain existing accounts and booking repeat business

  • Respond promptly to incoming corporate and group opportunities

  • Manage and monitor and follow up all leads

  • Manage all accounts to maximize business potential 

  • Enter group rooming lists, manage cut offs and follow ups

  • Prepare materials, presentations for customers as required
  • The ability to wait and/or participate at networking events to meet with decision makers.
  • Negotiating sales and closing business in a timely manner

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Coordinate and participate in sites & FAMs
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or DEC in Hotel Management/ Tourism
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Experience with Salesforce (or a similar CRM system) and IQware is an asset
  • Fluently bilingual in both official languages (English and English), both written and spoken
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

  • Minimum 2 year of hotel sales and knowledge of hotel industry
