Description Under the direction of the controller, the bookkeeper cooperates in the management of the hotel system accounting and accounts payable. He supports the controller in various accounting tasks.
  • Check the daily income prepared by the night auditors, make corrections as needed and import into the accounting software.
  • Ensure cashiers' deposits balance with system reports and prepare bank deposits.
  • Send the deposit report and daily statistics to the head office.
  • Review receivables entries, allocate the correct amounts, prepare and send receivables invoices, and make collection tracking calls as needed. Never allow accounts to be 60 days old.
  • Ensure that the database system for the receivable account is accurate and current at all times (customer set-up, billing, credit note, receipt).
  • Open the mail, enter the checks received to the receivables.
  • Check all accounts payable invoices with purchase orders and receipt of documents and enter the accounting software, print checks, have the financial controller check and file all invoices after payment.
  • Check the invoices of our suppliers to determine any irregularities and to avoid overpayments.
  • Respond to customer / vendor inquiries by phone or fax.
  • Ensure that all documents are filed in an efficient manner so that records are always up-to-date and organized
  • Ensure proper archiving of all accounting documents.
  • Avoid and eliminate late fees and vendor interest.
  • Assist the financial controller of the hotel as needed.
  • Bill the restaurant.
  • Ensure that all documents and correspondence with the client / supplier (invoices, faxes and letters) are accurately and professionally written.
  • Ensure that the auxiliary books for CAR, CAP and deposits balance with the general ledger.
