Job description

We are looking for a Banquet Chef for our establishment, ranked among the best in Montreal. Hotel Nelligan is frequented by a local and international clientele and offers a world-class service for business clients, visitors and people wishing to experience a memorable and unique event.

HOW YOU WILL HELP CREATE MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS:

 

- Establish food, labor and scheduling needs

- Create, plan and prepare menus for banquets and events

- Follow up on menu adjustments and modifications with the sales and events team

- Inform brigade members on menus and presentations

- Manage the banquet team members: training, schedule management, work distribution, etc.

- Manage the financial resources (preparation of budgets, control of operating costs, etc.)

- Ensure smooth service for all events

- Apply hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards in the workplace

- Follow up on purchases and the quality of goods

- Participate in the BEO meeting

- Collaborate with departments involved to ensure the smooth running of banquets and events

- Ensure customer satisfaction by the speed of service and the quality of the dishes presented

- Carry out daily inspection of the kitchen and its parameters.

 

 

PROFILE REQUIRED:

 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position

- Bilingualism (French-English)

- Available evenings and weekends
